1 Day steep Clinic:
This is a one day guided tour through the backcountry of the Whistler/blackcomb
backcountry. It will begin with a meeting in the am at 7:30 to get you geared
up with all the essential backcountry survival gear to make this adventure
as safe as possible. Next we will upload to the alpine to access the glaciers
and vast backcountry that make up the garibaldi provincial park. Once we have
arrived we will do a quick safety briefing and pieps check. After the safety
we will gear up with our skins and trekkers, and start the ascent into the
snow filled backcountry, were we will negotiate through the terrain looking
at line choice and reading the snow conditions and ultimately reach the top
were the lesson on skiing steep terrain will begin. One at a time we will guide
and coach you through the techniques used to navigate and negotiate the line
of choice. This is the most innovative and only Academy for steep skiing the
backcountry of Whistler. Price $400
