OVERVIEW:
The Level 4 Ski Mountaineering component is the final level in the WASA Mountain Skills Training Program. Our most advanced course utilizing the skills of all three previous levels obtained plus the final Ski Mountaineering chapter. The Ski Mountaineering course focus's on alpine couloir and steep skiing. Getting high is what it's all about. The Level 4 course is only offered in the spring when the conditions are right. Venues used are Spearhead Backcountry, Tantalus Range, Roger's Pass and the mighty Canadian Rockies. Option for hut based trips are available. Athletes get personal training and coaching from WASA Mountain Guides.

• Couloir climbing and skiing
• Alpine objectives
• Intro to Alpine ridge climbing.
• Rappelling
• Anchors

Prerequisite: Level 3 Alpine and Glacier
