OVERVIEW:
A spring 5 day WASA ski camp during the world's biggest ski/snowboard festival at Whistler,BC. This camp's main focus is steep ski mountaineering in the coast mountains of the Whistler/Blackcomb backcountry. The lifts of Whistler Blackcomb will be used to access the upper peaks and glaciers of the Spearhead Range (world class glacier skiing and steep ski descents to all ability levels).

THE CAMP:
The WASA Whistler ski camp is geared for people who are more downhill orientated. Yet still wanting to learn more about backcountry skiing. WASA works on improving your powder skiing technique, backcountry ski touring skills, avalanche awareness, and terrain assessment . What this means is that WASA focuses on the powder and descents, yet touches on the necessary safety skills needed when playing in the backcountry.

ADVANCED CAMP: Steep ski descents and Couloir skiing.
INTERMEDIATE CAMP: Alpine ski descents, glacier travel and avalanche awareness.
BEGINNER CAMP: Intro to ski touring, use of avalanche gear, intro to glacier travel, and off piste ski descents.
