OVERVIEW:
Blow off the cob webs and start your Holiday season off properly with our camp geared for intermediate skiers, interested in learning how to backcountry ski and better their abilities. Skiers are divided into groups by ability level. WASA teaches and refreshes athletes about the use of avalanche and ski touring gear. Three days will be spent on the Spearhead Range and two days will be spent ski touring on the Duffy Lake Highway.

THE AREA:
Whistler village is located in the heart of the coast mountains. The ease of lift access backcountry provides an exciting venue to backcountry skiers. The amount of alpine features and glaciers are staggering in the Whistler/Blackcomb ski area and home to Garibaldi Provincial Park (A protected area undisturbed with unlimited skiing potential).
THE CAMP:
The WASA Whistler ski camp is geared for people who are downhill orientated. Yet still wanting to learn more about backcountry skiing. WASA works on improving your powder skiing techniques, backcountry ski touring skills, avalanche awareness and terrain assessment . Simply stated... WASA focuses on the powder and descents, yet touches on the necessary safety skills needed when playing in the backcountry.
